Worship Ministry. A Worship Workshop will take place on Saturday, August 22nd, from 1-3 pm at the church. We want existing worship team members plus any new people that are interested and want to learn more. Sign up in the Gathering Place!
Children's Ministry. Plan to attend the Children's Ministry Open House on Sunday, August 16, from 10-11 am! You will learn about our ministry to the next generation, and have a chance to ask questions. Perhaps God is calling you to serve in this ministry!
The Canby Center. Volunteers are needed on two Fridays, August 14 and August 21, from 8 am to 5 pm. Lunch will be provided. Help is needed to organize clothing and shelves for incoming school supplies. Contact Linda Rasor at 503.266.2920 if you can help.
Backpack Buddies. We are enlisting support for "Backpack Buddies", a Friday ministry that prepares meals for 40 Lee School students. These kids get help with meals when they are at school, but they go hungry on the weekend. The Backpack Buddies program allows us to provide lunches for Saturday and Sunday that are passed out through the school when the students leave on Friday. MacLaren Ministry. A group of people are actively ministering to youth at the MacLaren facility in Woodburn, young men ages 16-24. This community ministry is open to men ages 18 and older, or women ages 40 and oler. You may visit with regular volunteers on a one time basis to observe this ministry first. Volunteer training is set for Saturday, September 5th for those interested. This is a twice monthly commitment, spending two hours in the evening with young men, playing games, interacting and encouraging them. Opportunities for sharing the Bible are welcome.
